The Enchanted City

Vendor Forms and Information

The Enchanted City is the Steampunk Tale of Troy, NY

The fairytale of our future and past revealed for a day in our historic streets. It is an urban spectacle of invention, imagination, theater and magic dressed in Cogs and Corsets. A Victorian faire with Maker Flair. Join Queen Mab and her entourage for our third year which promises to be a pageant etonnante!

The Enchanted City is a free event, open to the public.

Our event draws upon the unique aspects of Troy which honors our Victorian/Industrial heritage, while highlighting our emerging creative economy and technology sector. It has a rich history with a walkable historic district. We are on the cutting edge of the tech sector, and are creative and visual.

Main Attractions

Troy Mini Maker Faire

The Enchanted City in partnership with TVCoG are pleased to announce their combined effort to bring you our sanctioned Troy Mini Maker Faire. Troy Mini Maker Faire is a welcomed addition to our already popular festival and is sure to be a hit. Maker Faire is a community-based learning event that inspires everyone to become a maker and connect to people and projects in their local community.

At Maker Faire, you’ll find arts and crafts, science and engineering, food and music, fire and water. It is a show-and-tell format for people of all ages that brings out the kid in every one of us.

Chamberlain’s Inventors’ Challenge

We invite inventors, makers and mad geniuses to create a “mad mechanical conveyance”. Entries in the Chamberlain Inventors Challenge 2016 must be able to carry a person safely a distance of two city blocks. How it does that is up to you. It can be carried like a litter, pulled like a rickshaw or cart, or powered by battery “solar, aeolipile, or robotic.”

Entries will be on display throughout the Faire and take part in a parade during the event. There is a $4000 prize, presented by Sequence Development, for the winner of the Chamberlain Inventors’ Challenge, which will be selected on the day of the Faire by a team of judges.

A Steampunk Fashion Show

Enchanted City announces this years kick off event, in collaboration with 2440 Design Studio (Founders of Electric City Couture), a two day fashion extraveganza!

Step into an alternate paradigm concurrent to our reality. In this world, the structure of a stratified hierarchy is expressed through a valuation of subcultural beliefs. This reality creates 3 distinct segments of society. The world in which they live has a name, it is called Mab’s Enchanted City.
